Recently, after nomination and recommendation, form review and expert review, the selection results of the top ten progresses in Geological survey and geological science and technology in 2021 were announced. The "Major Breakthrough in Deep Sea Exploration Technology" led by Guangzhou Marine Geological survey and China Natural Resources Aerogeophysical Remote Sensing Center was rated as one of the top ten advances in geological science and technology in 2021.

The "Major Breakthrough in Deep Sea Exploration Technology" led by Guangzhou Marine Geological survey and China Natural Resources Aerogeophysical Remote Sensing Center was rated as one of the top ten advances in geological science and technology in 2021.

The achievement was led by Guangzhou Marine Geological survey, China Natural Resources Aerogeophysical Remote Sensing Center, and jointly completed by Qingdao Institute of Marine Geology, China University of Geosciences (Beijing), Ocean University of China and other units. The lead implementers are Xiao Bo, Zhou Jianxin, Gao Hongwei, and Wen Mingming, Zhao Qingxian, Zhang Hanquan, and others participated in the completion. Its main progress and innovation:
This achievement has achieved innovation in the research and application of deep-sea exploration technology equipment, authorized over 140 invention patents, published over 310 SCI/EI papers, and received over 20 national, industry, and provincial level talents.
1. Developed key technologies for high-precision deep-sea exploration. Near Submarine earthquake seismic, gravity and magnetic and other detection technologies have made a breakthrough of "zero". Independent innovation has formed the deepwater dual ship towed marine electromagnetic detection technology, filling the gap at home and abroad. High resolution 3D seismic detection technology has broken through the technical blockade of foreign countries.
2. Breakthrough in key technologies such as deep diving, deep drilling, and long-term deep-sea observation. The independently developed underwater large hole deep pressure maintaining drilling rig has set a new world record for the drilling depth of underwater drilling rigs.
3. We have built a self-developed "trinity" deep-sea three-dimensional exploration system and a deep-sea public testing platform system.
4. We have successfully developed China's first shipborne gravity gradient measurement system (ZT-1D) with independent intellectual property rights, and have successively conquered a series of core technologies such as the development of high-resolution quartz flexible accelerometers, high-precision inertial stabilization platform control, and precise extraction of weak gravity gradient signals.
